Bishop of Terni-Narni-Amelia begins pastoral ministry

The bishop of the Diocese of Terni-Narni-Amelia began his episcopal ministry with a Mass at the Terni Cathedral.

During the celebration, the bishop stated that he enters the local Church to walk with and serve the people. He noted that the liturgy coincided with the period leading up to October 27, the anniversary of the dedication of the cathedral. While the Mass used the readings for the XXX Sunday in Ordinary Time, the prayers were intended to reflect on the mystery of the Church as represented by the cathedral building.
