Diocese of Urgell celebrates 100 years of Domund

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

The Diocese of Urgell is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Domund, the World Mission Sunday, at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Núria. Bishop Josep-Lluís announced that families, catechists, and children will gather in the Vall de Núria for the event.

The mission Sunday was established by Pope Pius XI. Bishop Josep-Lluís noted that the diocese is honoring the missionaries it has produced over the last 100 years, including Monsignor Jordi Coll, who served as a missionary in the Dominican Republic.
