Dominican Students Raise $60,000 Through KnightWalk
300 Dominican High School students raised $60,000 during the school's annual KnightWalk to fund extracurricular activities. The participants walked a 6-mile route through Whitefish Bay, supported by more than 800 family members, friends, and alumni.
The funds will support athletics, theater, campus ministry, student government, music, and fine arts programs. To assist with the fundraiser, students held a phone-a-thon to contact alumni for donations and to build community connections.
Students from St. Monica School and Holy Family Parish School joined the event to cheer on the walkers along the route. Ashley Allgood, the events manager for Dominican, said the contributions from families, alumni, parish-school communities, and local sponsors directly improve opportunities for the students.
