The Holy See announces upcoming schedule for Pope Leo XIV

Catholic Intelligence1 min read

The Office of Liturgical Celebrations of the Pontiff released a schedule for Pope Leo XIV covering November and December 2026. The calendar includes liturgical celebrations in Rome and an apostolic journey to Uruguay, Argentina, and Peru.

On November 2, the Pope will preside over a Mass at 16:00 at the Cementerio del Verano in Rome. On November 5, he will celebrate a Mass at 9:00 in the Basílica de San Pedro for cardinals and bishops who died during the last year.

The Pope is scheduled to travel to Uruguay, Argentina, and Peru from November 6 to November 17. The Holy See confirmed the Pope can undertake this trip following a lung operation. This visit marks his return to the continent where he developed much of his ministry as a priest and bishop.

The schedule also includes the fourth centenary of the dedication of the Basílica de San Pedro and the traditional veneration of the Inmaculada Concepción in Rome. Christmas celebrations are not included in the announced program.
