ManUp presenter: Men have a duty to be leaders in faith
Deacon Anthony Cioe will speak at the eighth annual ManUp South Jersey Men’s Spirituality Conference on Nov. 14. Cioe has led the organization since its beginning. He currently serves at Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Turnersville.
The conference was established following a discussion between Cioe and Bishop Emeritus Dennis Sullivan regarding a men's spirituality conference in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Eustace Mita, chairman and CEO of Icona Resorts, provided information on organizing the event and securing speakers.
The 2026 speakers include Bishop Joseph Williams, Bishop Emeritus Sullivan, Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers, and Curtis Martin, the founder of the Fellowship of Catholic University Students. Cioe said the conference provides an environment for men to encounter Jesus through speakers, conversation, confession, or Adoration.
