Regional Altar Rosary Societies celebrate yearly liturgy
Altar Rosary Society members from Mercer, Burlington, and Ocean counties gathered at St. Raphael-Holy Angels Church in Hamilton on Oct. 17 for their 22nd regional network celebration. Bishop David M. O'Connell served as the principal celebrant for the Mass, which included concelebrants from across the diocese.
The annual event, held during the month of the Holy Rosary, provides a forum for members to share ideas on how to support their various parish communities. The group's mission involves strengthening parish Rosary confraternities and increasing awareness of devotion to the Blessed Mother through spiritual and community events.
Father Gene Daguplo, the pastor of the host parish, delivered the homily. The liturgy featured a large Rosary assembled in Italy, roses placed at the feet of Mary, and banners decorated by member parishes. Attendees also provided handwritten intercessions in a basket during the service.
