A film by KTO and Ellis Films explores the experience of spiritual retreats

The film directed by Emmanuel Descombes examines various spiritual retreats held at locations such as the La Salette sanctuary, the Courset charity center, and the Penboc’h retreat center. It follows different groups, including young people attending confirmation retreats, couples preparing for marriage, and individuals participating in retreats for those experiencing grief.

Priests and laypeople serve as companions at these sites, using teaching and personal presence to help participants encounter God. The production depicts how people at different stages of life use these periods of withdrawal from the world to address specific spiritual questions.
