St Laurence’s Celebrates Golden Jubilee

St Laurence’s Catholic Church in Cambridge held a Parish Day on 13 September to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the Diocese of East Anglia. The event took place at St Laurence’s Catholic Primary School and included a talent show, games, a barbecue, and a shared feast.

Parish groups used the day to showcase their work, raise funds, and connect with new people. The festivities also included honors for parishioners recognized for their years of service, as well as those celebrating 50th birthdays or anniversaries.

The celebrations ended with an outdoor Mass led by Bishop Peter Collins. He was joined by parish priest Father Robin Joseph, assistant priest Father Alex Sunny, Father Peter Ho, and deacons Dr. Geoff Cook and Dr. Gianluca Savini. The Mass brought together the various cultural communities within the parish.
