Sacred Heart Catholic Church is located on the west side of Jacksonville, Florida. Established by Archbishop Joseph Hurley on June 26, 1959, with Msgr. Leo Danaher as its founding pastor, the parish has a rich history marked by significant developments under various pastors. The original church was dedicated in May 1960 and later remodeled to become the Family Life Center. The current church sanctuary was dedicated in 1998, while the school began operations in 1960. Sacred Heart Catholic Church fosters a family-like community with diverse members united in faith and liturgy, offering opportunities for spiritual growth through various ministries.
