Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church is located at 915 North Central Avenue in Flagler Beach, Florida. The church was established in the early 1950s when Archbishop Joseph P. Hurley purchased property for the Diocese of St. Augustine. In 1966, a chapel was built to serve the growing Catholic community. Fr. Antonio Leon served as the first resident pastor from 1960 to 1974. The church continues to welcome all and stands as a cornerstone in the Flagler Beach community.
