St. Mary Syro-Malabar Knanaya Catholic Forane Church

Founded as the Knanaya Catholic Mission of Houston in 1994, the community purchased its church from a Baptist congregation in August 2011, was consecrated by Bishop Mar Jacob Angadiath on November 5, 2011, and was declared a Forane parish of the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago in 2015. It serves around 498 Knanaya families in Houston, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford, and southeastern Texas.
