Knanaya Catholic mission established March 27, 1993; the community purchased the church at 384 Clinton St., Hempstead in January 2012, which was consecrated by Mar Jacob Angadiath on November 24, 2012. It was declared a forane parish of the Eparchy of Chicago in 2015.
