Corpus Christi Parish was founded September 1, 1984 with Rev. Stephen G. Dunn as first pastor. After meeting at the Bonita Golf Club and a shopping-center space, the parish broke ground on Corral Canyon Road in 1989 and celebrated its first Mass there Christmas Eve 1990.
