History
North Queensland is the care of the Diocese of Townsville, a Latin Church jurisdiction of the Catholic Church in Australia and a suffragan of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Brisbane. It was erected in 1930 from territory separated out of the Diocese of Rockhampton.
