History

Established in 1887 as the Diocese of Grafton and renamed in 1900, the Diocese of Lismore is a Latin Church jurisdiction in New South Wales, Australia. Its care extends across the North Coast, and it also holds responsibility for the Church of St Agnes on Lord Howe Island. The diocese is a suffragan within the province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Sydney.
