The Diocese of Avezzano, historically the Diocese of the Marsi, is a Latin Church diocese in the Abruzzo region of Italy, with its episcopal seat in Avezzano since 1925. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of L'Aquila, led by Bishop Giovanni Massaro.

History
Known for most of its history as the Diocese of Marsi, a name it retains in Latin (Dioecesis Marsorum), the Diocese of Avezzano is a Latin Church see in central Italy whose Italian name was changed in 1986. Since 1972 it has been a suffragan of the Archdiocese of L'Aquila.
