Palestrina is one of the six suburbicarian dioceses of Rome, located in Lazio, Italy. The residential governance is held by Bishop Mauro Parmeggiani, appointed in 2019, while the see title is held honorarily by a cardinal bishop.

History
Centered on the Italian comune of Palestrina, this Latin suburbicarian diocese (Latin: Diocesis Praenestina) is presently led by Mauro Parmeggiani, whom Pope Francis appointed on 19 February 2019. Before that appointment, Parmeggiani had governed the see as Apostolic Administrator after Bishop Emeritus Domenico Sigalini resigned on 31 July 2017 due to age.
