A suffragan Latin see under the Metropolitan of São Luís do Maranhão, the Diocese of Caxias do Maranhão (Latin: Dioecesis Caxiensis in Maragnano) lies in northeastern Brazil. The city of Caxias (do Maranhão), in Maranhão state, holds its cathedral, the Catedral de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, dedicated to the Virgin of Los Remedios.
