History

The city of Uruaçu is the seat of this diocese (Latin: Dioecesis Uruassuensis), which belongs to the ecclesiastical province of Brasília in Brazil. Giovanni Carlos Caldas Barroca, a priest of the Brasilia archdiocese, was appointed its new bishop on June 17, 2020.
