Ordinariate for Eastern Catholic faithful in Brazil who lack a hierarchy of their own particular church, erected on 14 November 1951 by the decree Cum fidelium implementing a 1950 decision of Pope Pius XII. The ordinariate is currently governed by Walmor Oliveira de Azevedo, the Latin Metropolitan Archbishop of Belo Horizonte.

History
Eastern Catholics in Brazil who lack a jurisdiction of their own particular churches sui iuris are served by the Ordinariate of Brazil for the faithful of the Eastern rite (Portuguese: Ordinariato para os Fiéis de Ritos Orientais no Brasil), a diocese-like structure of the Catholic Church. It belongs to no ecclesiastical province, being immediately exempt to the Holy See and its Roman Congregation for the Oriental Churches.
