History
A Latin rite suffragan of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Sherbrooke in predominantly francophone Quebec, the Diocese of Saint-Hyacinthe has its episcopal seat at the Cathédrale Saint-Hyacinthe-le-Confesseur in Saint-Hyacinthe, dedicated to the diocesan patron, Hyacinth the Confessor of Poland. A former cathedral survives in Beloeil, Quebec: the decommissioned Église Saint-Matthieu, dedicated to the Evangelist Matthew.

Abbe Patrice Savadogo incardinated in Diocese of Saint-Hyacinthe
The Diocese of Saint-Hyacinthe has officially incardinated Father Patrice Savadogo, making him a permanent member of the local clergy. Father Savadogo has served the diocese since September 2017 as a Fidei donum missionary priest. He has held the roles of pastor and rector of the Saint-Hyacinthe Cathedral since August 2025 and also serves as the diocesan chancellor to the bishop. This incardination formalizes his long-term ministry within the diocese.

Diocese of Trois-Rivières participates in Grande Assemblée Missionnaire
A nine-member delegation from the Diocese of Trois-Rivières participated in the Grande Assemblée Missionnaire (GAM) at Mont-Sainte-Anne. The event served as a synodal exercise for the Church in Quebec. Simon Bournival, the diocesan pastoral coordinator, helped prepare for the assembly and served as a co-animator. Annie Beauchemin, a pastoral agent, served on the analysis committee. The delegation included Jonathan Lacasse, Benoit Genest, Marc Lahaie, Martine Livernoche, Claude Lapointe, Simon Bournival, and Annie Beauchemin. Pierre Edayé and Thérèse Richard were not present for the group photograph.
