Latin-rite metropolitan archdiocese in Tshopo Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo, established in 1904 as the Apostolic Prefecture of Stanley Falls, promoted to Metropolitan Archdiocese of Stanleyville on 10 November 1959, and renamed Kisangani on 30 May 1966. Its cathedral is Notre-Dame du Rosaire in Kisangani. Suffragans: Bondo, Bunia, Buta, Doruma-Dungu, Isangi, Isiro-Niangara, Mahagi-Nioka, and Wamba.

Kisangani holds the Metropolitan See of its own ecclesiastical province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo: the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kisangani (Latin: Kisanganien(sis)).
