Latin-rite diocese in Kasai-Central Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo, erected on 26 September 1967 from the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Luluabourg. On 25 March 2022 it ceded territory to create the new Diocese of Tshilomba. It is a suffragan of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Kananga.

History
The territory of Luiza, within the ecclesiastical province of Kananga in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, forms a Roman Catholic diocese (Latin: Ludovican(us)). On January 3, 2014, Pope Francis accepted the resignation of its bishop, Léonard Kasanda Lumembu, and named Félicien Mwanama Galumbulula to succeed him. The new bishop, a former university professor who had served as second secretary of the Episcopal Conference of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (CENCO) from 2008 to 2014, was installed on March 23, 2014.
