History
Chur (Latin: Diœcesis Curiensis) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church in Switzerland, distinct from the historical Prince-Bishopric of Chur, which was a state of the Holy Roman Empire. Its territory takes in the Swiss Cantons of Graubünden (Grisons), Schwyz, Glarus, Zurich, Nidwalden, Obwalden, and Uri, where German is the primary language.
