History
Pope Leo XIII created the Diocese of Chiavari (Latin: Dioecesis Clavarensis) on 3 December 1892 through the Bull Romani Pontifices. A Latin diocese of the Catholic Church in Liguria, northern Italy, it is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Genoa.
