History
Co-extensive with the old Chinese imperial prefecture of Tingzhou fu, the Diocese of Tingzhou/Changting (Latin: Timceuven(sis), Chinese: 汀州/長汀) has its cathedral in present-day Tingzhou town. Whatever the post-revolutionary facts on the ground, the see remains within the ecclesiastical province of Fuzhou, under the Metropolitan See at Fuzhou.
