Latin-rite apostolic vicariate covering the Amazonas department in the far south of Colombia, seated at Leticia on the Amazon River. Established on 8 February 1951 as an apostolic prefecture separated from the Apostolic Vicariate of Caqueta, it was elevated to an apostolic vicariate on 23 October 2000. Its seat is the Cathedral of Nuestra Senora de La Paz in Leticia.
