The Diocese of Puntarenas is a Latin rite diocese on Costa Rica's Pacific coast, suffragan of the metropolitan Archdiocese of San Jose de Costa Rica. It was erected on 17 April 1998 from the Dioceses of San Isidro de El General and Tilaran. Its seat is the Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Puntarenas.
