Diocese of Menorca pilgrims visit Greccio
Pilgrims from the Diocese of Menorca visited Greccio as part of a journey to study the life and message of Saint Francis. The group traveled to the site where Saint Francis recreated the birth of Jesus in 1223, establishing the tradition of the nativity scene. On September 22, the group celebrated Mass at the Basilica of Saint Francis in the Frate Leone chapel and visited various sites throughout the city. The Diocese of Menorca stated the trip aims to help participants experience faith and fraternity through the natural settings and historical locations that shaped the lives of the saints.
