The Diocese of Jalapa is a Latin rite see in southeastern Guatemala, erected on 10 March 1951 from territory of the Archdiocese of Guatemala and suffragan of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Santiago de Guatemala. Its Marian cathedral is the Catedral Nuestra Senora de la Expectacion in Jalapa. Bishop Jose Benedicto Moscoso Miranda has led the diocese since 2020.

History
In southeastern Guatemala, the Diocese of Jalapa is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church, suffragan within the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Santiago de Guatemala. Its Marian cathedral, the Catedral Nuestra Señora de la Expectación, stands in the episcopal see of Jalapa, and the diocese keeps Santa Cruz (the Holy Cross) as its patron.
