Latin-rite diocese in the West Khasi Hills region of Meghalaya, India, erected 28 January 2006 by bifurcation from the Archdiocese of Shillong, of which it is a suffragan. Its seat is the Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle in Nongstoin, and Catholics number about 164,300 (2020), some 28% of the population.
