The Chaldean Catholic Eparchy of Duhok in Iraqi Kurdistan descends from the Eparchy of Amadiyah, erected in 1785; it was united with Zakho in 2013 as Amadiyah and Zaku and took its present name of Duhok on 27 June 2020 when Zakho was split off again. It is directly subject to the Chaldean Patriarchate of Baghdad. Catholic-hierarchy reports about 14,100 Catholics in 36 parishes.

The Chaldean Catholic Eparchy of Amadiya (or Amadia) belongs to history: this former eparchy (diocese) of the Chaldean Catholic Church was joined to the Chaldean Catholic Eparchy of Zakho in 2013.
