Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church

Ukrainian Greek Catholic (Byzantine-rite) eparchy in western Poland, erected 24 May 1996 as the Eparchy of Wroclaw-Gdansk and renamed Wroclaw-Koszalin on 25 November 2020 when the Eparchy of Olsztyn-Gdansk was split off. It is a suffragan of the Archeparchy of Przemysl-Warsaw. Its mother church is the Cathedral of St. Vincent and St. James in Wroclaw.

History

Serving Ukrainian Greek Catholics in part of Poland, with Byzantine rite worship in the Ukrainian language parallel to the Latin hierarchy, the Ukrainian (Greek) Catholic Eparchy of Wrocław-Koszalin (Wrocław-Koszalin of the Ukrainians) is a suffragan eparchy within the ecclesiastical province of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Przemyśl-Warsaw, dependent on the Roman Congregation for the Oriental Churches. Its episcopal see is the St. Vincent and St. James Cathedral in Wrocław, in western Poland, within the administrative Dolnośląskie Province (Lower Silesian Voivodeship).
