The Metropolitan Archdiocese of Salerno-Campagna-Acerno is a Latin Church archdiocese in the Campania region of southern Italy. The ancient see of Salerno was raised to an archdiocese centuries ago, and the present combined title was established in 1986. It has been led by Archbishop Andrea Bellandi since 2019.

History

Created in 1986 in Campania, southern Italy, the Archdiocese of Salerno-Campagna-Acerno (Latin: Archidioecesis Salernitana-Campaniensis-Acernensis) is a Latin Church jurisdiction with deep roots. Salerno's historic archdiocese dates from the tenth century, when a see founded in the sixth century was elevated, and the Diocese of Acerno was joined to it in 1818. On Saturday, May 4, 2019, Pope Francis named Archbishop Andrea Bellandi, previously Vicar general of Florence, as Archbishop in succession to Archbishop Luigi Moretti.
