History
Southern Georgia in the United States is the territory of the Diocese of Savannah (Latin: Dioecesis Savannensis), whose mother church is the Cathedral Basilica of Saint John the Baptist in Savannah. Stephen D. Parkes serves as bishop, and the diocese stands as a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
