Ukrainian Greek Catholic archiepiscopal exarchate for Crimea, established 13 February 2014 from the Exarchate of Odesa-Crimea, with its cathedral in Simferopol. Since the 2014 Russian annexation it has had no resident exarch and is governed by Archiepiscopal Administrator Mykhaylo Bubniy from Odesa.

History

Formed on 13 February 2014 from the Ukrainian Catholic Archiepiscopal Exarchate of Odesa-Crimea, the Archiepiscopal Exarchate of Krym (Latin: Archiepiscopi Exarchatus Crimenses) is a Ukrainian Greek Catholic exarchate of the Catholic Church. After the Annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation in March 2014, part of the faithful and clergy left the Exarchate and no Exarch was appointed; it is currently governed by an Archiepiscopal Administrator from Odesa. It is one of only five Archiepiscopal Exarchates in the world, all belonging to the particular Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and following the Byzantine Ukrainian Rite.
