History

Existing since 1530, the Diocese of Vigevano (Latin: Dioecesis Viglevanensis) is a Latin see of the Catholic Church lying almost entirely within the Province of Pavia in Lombardy. Until 9 April 1578 it was a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Vercelli; it now answers to the Archdiocese of Milan.
