History

Southern Vietnam's Roman Catholic Diocese of Mỹ Tho (Latin: Dioecesis Mythoënsis) is led by Peter Nguyễn Văn Khảm, formerly Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City, whom Pope Francis appointed on July 26, 2014, and who was installed a month later. His predecessor, Paul Bùi Văn Đọc, had been named Coadjutor Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City in September 2013 and its Archbishop in March 2014.
