Barranquilla is a Latin Church metropolitan archdiocese in northern Colombia, erected as a diocese on 7 July 1932 and elevated to an archdiocese on 25 April 1969. It heads its own ecclesiastical province with suffragan sees including El Banco, Riohacha, Santa Marta, and Valledupar.
