The Archdiocese of Esztergom-Budapest is the primatial metropolitan see of Hungary, founded in 1001 by King Stephen I and renamed Esztergom-Budapest in 1993. Its suffragans are the dioceses of Győr and Székesfehérvár. Cardinal Péter Erdő has been archbishop since 2002.
