Bishop Duming Dias blesses renovated Our Lady of Piety Church

Bishop Duming Dias blessed the renovated Our Lady of Piety Church in Kone on 18 October 2026. The Bishop of Karwar inaugurated the church entrance with a ribbon-cutting ceremony before presiding over a Mass celebrated with 7 concelebrating priests.

Father Cyprian Silva delivered a homily based on the 2026 Mission Sunday theme, "One in Christ, United in Mission," regarding the responsibility of baptized people to witness to the Gospel. After the Mass, Parish Priest Father Edwin D’Souza thanked the bishop and the community for their support of the renovation. Bishop Dias thanked the parish priest and those who contributed to the project, while encouraging parishioners to remain committed to spreading the Gospel within their families and communities.
