Bp Artur Ważny addresses students at Akademia WSB

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Bishop Artur Ważny spoke to students at the WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza during an ecumenical service held before the start of the 2026/2027 academic year. Addressing the community at the Basilica of Our Lady Queen of Angels, the Bishop of Sosnowiec described the academy as a laboratory for human character rather than a factory for diplomas.

Ważny noted that while modern algorithms can predict consumer behavior, young people often struggle to define their own identity and purpose. Drawing on the Gospel story of Jesus placing a child among his disciples, he encouraged students to practice courage by learning without pride and maintaining curiosity about the world. He urged the academic community to make meaningful decisions and to embrace the concept of turning back toward fundamental truths.
