Delpini tells athletes to live with enthusiasm

Archbishop Mario Delpini urged athletes to live with enthusiasm during an event at the Opiquad Arena in Monza on Monday, October 5. The gathering opened the sports season for oratories and included young volleyball players, coaches, and sports officials.

During the evening, Delpini encouraged participants to pursue what is good and to find the courage to reject things that poison sports and life. Mauro Gianetti, leader of the UAE Team Emirates cycling team, spoke about the teamwork required for victory and the importance of respecting opponents. The event was guided by Father Stefano Guidi, director of the Fondazione Oratori Milanesi, and featured Under 15 women's volleyball tournaments.
