Pope Leo XIV invites faithful to pray the rosary for peace

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV invited the faithful and Christian communities to pray the Rosary during the month of October to ask for an end to wars and the establishment of peace between conflicting peoples.

During the Angelus in Lourdes on September 27, 2026, the pope requested that people accompany these prayers with concrete acts of penance and mercy. He also encouraged a commitment to favoring dialogue and reconciliation.

Bishop Hervé Gosselin of the Diocese of Angoulême encouraged the faithful to respond to this call to become true artisans of peace.
