Pope Leo XIV to open symposium on vocations and charisms

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV will open a symposium titled "Vocation and Charisms" at the Vatican from April 15 to 17. The event is organized by the Centre de recherche et d'anthropologie des vocations.

Cardinal the emeritus prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops announced the symposium. He stated that the gathering aims to deepen reflection on charisms to support a synodal and missionary Church. According to the cardinal, synodality involves more than creating inclusive ways to organize ecclesial communities; it requires the Church to rediscover a sacramental dimension that has not been sufficiently highlighted.
