The Diocese of Arua is a Latin Rite see in northwestern Uganda, erected in 1958 and suffragan to the Archdiocese of Gulu. Its cathedral is the Basilica of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Lodonga.

History
In Uganda's ecclesiastical province of Gulu, the city of Arua gives its name to this Catholic diocese (Latin: Aruaën(sis)). After Bishop Frederick Drandua resigned, Pope Benedict XVI on 19 August 2009 named Sabino Ocan Odoki, Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Gulu, as Apostolic Administrator of the diocese until a substantive bishop could be appointed. On October 20, 2010 Odoki was himself named ordinary Bishop.
