Military Ordinariate of Brasile

Latin-rite military ordinariate providing pastoral care to Catholics serving in the Brazilian Armed Forces and their families. Erected 6 November 1950 as a military vicariate and elevated to a military ordinariate on 21 July 1986, it is immediately exempt to the Holy See. Its seat is the Military Cathedral of St. Mary Queen of Peace in Brasilia.

History
Catholics serving in the Brazilian Armed Forces, together with their families, receive pastoral care from the Military Ordinariate of Brazil (Portuguese: Ordinariado Militar do Brasil), a Latin Church military ordinariate that answers immediately to the Holy See.
