Latin-rite diocese seated in Tulcan, Carchi Province, in the northern Ecuadorian highlands on the Colombian border. Established on 17 March 1965, it is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Quito. Bishop Carlos Washington Yepez Naranjo has led the diocese since May 2023.

History
Tulcán, a city in Ecuador, is the seat of a Roman Catholic diocese of the same name (Latin: Dioecesis Tulcanensis), part of the ecclesiastical province of Quito.
