The Diocese of Laval is a Latin rite diocese covering the Mayenne department in western France, erected on 30 June 1855 from the Diocese of Le Mans. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Rennes, Dol and Saint-Malo. Its seat is the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Laval.

History
Created in June 1855 out of the Diocese of Le Mans, the Diocese of Laval (Latin: Dioecesis Valleguidonensis; French: Diocèse de Laval) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church in France corresponding to the department of Mayenne. Its episcopal see is Laval Cathedral in the city of Laval. Under the Ancien Régime the diocese of Mans had an Archdeacon of Laval, whose responsibilities took in the deaneries of Ernée, Évrun, Laval and Mayenne.
