History
In the Region of Brittany, the department of Côtes d'Armor forms the Diocese of Saint-Brieuc and Tréguier (Latin: Dioecesis Briocensis et Trecorensis; French: Diocèse de Saint-Brieuc et Tréguier; Breton: Eskopti Sant-Brieg ha Landreger), a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church in France. It stands as a suffragan to the Archdiocese of Rennes, Dol, and Saint-Malo. Denis Moutel, appointed in 2010, is its current bishop.

Parcours Alpha to hold regional meeting in Ploërmel
Alpha Course teams from four departments will meet for a regional gathering in Ploërmel on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The event, held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the La Mennais welcome center, brings together various Alpha formats including Classic, Youth, Family, and Prison programs. The meeting will cover the core principles of the Alpha Course and discuss ways to energize local teams. Participants will learn about the new Alpha Youth series for 13 to 17 year olds, strengthening relationships with parishes and movements, ecumenical efforts, and sharing resources such as communication tools, testimonies, and Holy Spirit weekends. The program includes exchanging best practices and news for all volunteers, including those involved in animation, prayer, cooking, or communication. Attendees are asked to bring a dish or drink to share for lunch, though coffee will be provided.
